PGN featured one that he came across on his Youtube channel in 2019. Note that the car was repainted a different shade of orange, but he shows the trim tag with paint code, and you can also see the original Monaco Orange along the trunk edges.

----Years ago, it would have to have been the late 70's, I saw a 5000ish original mile Monaco Orange LS6 just across the river in Indiana from Louisville. It appeared in perfect condition except its original engine was on a stand next to it. There was nothing wrong with it. The original owner didn't want to sell it and for the time period I offered him a small fortune. It also had no stripes and no cowl ind. I'm pretty sure it had 4-speed, with buckets and no console. The guy wasn't going to put it back together as he was worried about it getting stolen, believe it or not. I have often wondered weather it's still sitting there but wouldn't have a clue how to find the house again.....Bill S

I met a guy years ago (late 90s maybe) that had a shop full of cars and his best car was a '70 orange LS6. I did not collect any data from it at the time so I can't verify it was a real one but it sure looked absolutely correct.

I realize this thread is focused on LS6 cars in Hugger / Monaco Orange, but its interesting to see that this special order color even found its way onto base model 1970 Chevelles (13437 or 300 series). Two of them just so happen to be in the PNW, as my buddy Gene and I each own one. Both of these cars were built at the Kansas City plant and sold new in the LA area. Both were also equipped with mandatory NA9 emissions equipment. Both are documented with build sheets indicating "ZP3 SPEC PAINT" and both have a dash in place of the paint code on the trim tag.

Default 1970 Hugger Orange El Camino

Here’s a little 4 Sp Factory ordered Hugger Orange El Camino that I was fortunate enough to repurchased. I use to own this car 20 some years ago… car was an original SS 396 / 350 hp car but is currently dressed up as an LS5 454. Currently has a 454 NOM and a Tremec 5 speed so highway driving is pretty low RPM . Definitely a 10 footer and lots of things to play with over the winter hopefully!

----I should have commented on how nice this El C is. I'm on the hunt for a 69 or 70 , but I need an automatic as I have one of the few wives that love El Caminos....Bill S
