[ QUOTE ]
I think Van (ChevyThunder) went to go look at it last week. PM him for info.

[/ QUOTE ]

Hylton I did not end up looking at the car because the guy who is selling (he is not the owner) has 100,000 phone calls on it,people flying in from the moon to look at it yadda yadda.... In the end after hearing all of that I decided to not go look at the car
It is an early built Z standard original flat hood D80 car with a correct carry over 68 spoiler
ZL2 was an option and this car may have been built to early for a ZL2 hood , I don't remember the ZL2 optional hood became available.
Tach was an option to until around March I beleive but this car does have a 7k tach and that is correct for an early Z.

That is all I know about the car . I is a - - trim tag. I had the guy open the hood while on the phone but I have not seen a photo of the TT so I am taking his word since he had no idea what I ws talking about but that should be confirmed

Too early for a ZL2 hood.

Car has 133K miles. Somehow it lost 100K over the years.

Restamped engine, trans, and axle....
The story I had heard back in 2000 was it was bought from friend who's dad was the original owner. Might be a short ownership trail, but a lot happened....

Friend's 1-owner LA-built Z/28 was originally pink in color when he purchased it new locally in 1970,one of the last ones on the west coast.

I would like to say Thanks to Van for going out of his way to check the car out for me. I couldn't know any more about the car if I had been there myself. He and his son took a ton of pictures and were just great! Also, to Kurt for his help, research and opinions. Thank you gentlemen, Ed
