Denny bought the car back & has since collected all the parts to restore it except the Bill Thomas front end. The car is in Vallejo Ca. You will probably never see this car restored in his life time.

so he doesnt want to restore it or doesnt have time to ?

Denny Sayer Still owns the car, the pic was taken @ Fremont Ca. He raced the car up until he sold it in the 80s. The guy that bought it got rid of the front end but never did anything with the car. So Denny bought the car back & has since collected all the parts to restore it except the Bill Thomas front end. The car is in Vallejo Ca. You will probably never see this car restored in his life time.

If anyone here is interested in the car....... Then I suggest that you keep an eye in the Vallejo obituaries...... cause thats the only way you will get it

I've heard rumors of the Dick Harrell '66 AWB Nova still being in existence. If true, this car would probably be one of the most significant race car finds of all time. That car was extremely famous and well known. Original Nickey sponsorship, Bill Thomas built, and Dick Harrell owned-and-driven. It don't get any better than that! Fully restored, I believe the car could rival the Ray Allen '70 Chevelle in an auction setting. I'd love to see pictures in it's current condition.

This is NO rumor.......... Valerie Harrell talked to Denny WAAAY back in 05. The car was never lost. I have known where the car is since 01, but my friend has known since the day Denny bought the car. So why is it that that nobody has seen the car done?????? I will tell you why..... Cause its just a old drag car that he has had since 1967. I think that he could care less about the history. I would like to see the car restored as much as the next guy, but I would like to see it with Denny's name on the door. Who cares how much $$$$ the car is worth? Its worth nothing if you park it in some garage or private museum were nobody can see it.. That car was, is & should always be a race car......

You will get no argument on here about where old drag cars belong, just ask anyone who has been to a SCR.

Yeah, just another old race car. Big deal, there everywhere. I even heard of one in Iowa.
