Is the insurance co. arranging repairs or can you take a settlement and car back instead?
Either way it's probably best keep negative personal comments in check and instead offer more ca$h for the paperwork if something you still hope to procure from the guy?
Was the car converted to a 427 before the original purchaser took delivery or later?

Best of luck w/ everything!

The other guys insurance co is repairing this car. I didn't give them a choice. I told them to either find me a 1966 Berger 427 Chevelle or fix mine. They are fixing the car!!
I do not have any evidence that Berger installed a 427 in the car. From what I have learned they put 396/435 HP Corvette heads and intake on the 396 that was in the car. I talked to the second owner of the car and he told me a lot about the original owner and what he did with the car. We do know the car was sold new form Berger Chevrolet and drag raced most of it's life.

had to ask... BTW Beautiful Chevelle, my dad graduated in 66 and lusted over a Lemonwood Yellow 360 HP 4 spd sitting in the showroom at Padgett Chevrolet. I've heard about the car so many times eventually it may show up in his garage...

Any updates on your car? Would like to see it if it's repaired.

I'm still working on the Chevelle. It's going to paint in July with hopes of having the car back by fall. Will see how it goes.

Default 1966 Berger 427 Chevelle

Please see the pictures below. The car has been repaired and we are putting it back together. It's been a long slow journey but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. We hope to have the car completed by early Spring 2019.
