New exhaust system is in......New Tires as the old ones although good.......were 10 years old, and the rear tires were a pain to get in as they were so wide......the rear end had to have the shocks unbolted to get them on or off......so....I went to a slightly taller and narrower tire to make the car more user friendly.........and the new storage pan is in and in use......So........The car is pretty much finished and the conversion has taken the car to a new level, the Coil-over rear suspension has improved the ride considerably........I also added new tubular upper and lower front control arms........the one thing that is not finished yet is I bought a Glide Engineering contoured foam front seat that is being upholstered to match the existing pattern ........Here are some pic's..

I really like your use of the space above the custom gas tank for the 'storage/toolbox'...

The "Tweaking" continues.....So....Now that we are getting the sharp edges smoothed off on the car......And since this is my first Nomad.......I'm getting an education in Nomad related issues....I've learned that all Nomads leak water in the Tail gate ........and that after a period of time the lift gate (rear window assy) frames bend over time due to the stress of the torsion rods in the factory set-up..So...Once I found out about this issue, everytime I looked at the car I noticed that dam bent Lift Gate......This Nomad already had the rods taken out, but the Lift gate was already bent.........I already had removed the stock mechanical assy that held the gate in the open position with some gas strut assy's made by Mike at Madmooks Nomad parts.........I took the Lift gate off and sent it to Madmmooks for straightening.....I didn't have any good pic's showing the bend before.......But....Here are some before and after picture........Mike straightened the unit and didn't damage the chrome at all..........Great job Madmooks

Have enjoyed visiting your build and all the fine work you have done. I owned one of these for several years many year's ago. Actually it my first vehicle after getting out of college and soon getting married. Sold my '57 BelAir Coupe that took me through 4 years of school prior to the Nomad. I remember my future father in law had serious questions about this Nomad purchase (and me) at the time. Moved out of state early in my career and along with a small u-haul truck we loaded our remaining belongings in our Nomad......lots of room with that back seat down. Unlike yours I remember the back window would rattle when I hit a bigger bump in the road. I also remember it drove and rode like a boat (especially when it was windy) but it was still a cool vehicle. I think I sold it in '73 for about $1500. My wife's '67 Camaro then became out sole mode of transportation.......a little different ride
Have never been w/o a "hobby car" since and that covers more years than I care to think about.
