A Kansas City, Missouri man was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison for one count of wire fraud and one count of transporting a stolen vehicle following a classic car scheme. According to a release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Western District of Missouri, Travis D. Oberg, 51, was fraudulently selling cars that didn't belong to him, and in the end, he ended up stealing $145,000 from his victims. https://www.motorious.com/articles/n...cheme-missouri |

His stamps are just horrible. Didn't he sell some BE rear ends that looked like a 3rd grader stamped them.

There is a thread on Moparts where someone had a 'buyer' return used parts and ebay refunded his money and penalized the seller. Seller won't out the 'buyer' so no one knows who to be aware of. Luckily, over here we have some idea of who to watch out for.

In my case I found out a friend was scammed by the same guy . He'd call about your wanted ads in the free ad paper and say he has new ones or whatever you were looking for. He needed money first because he has to pay the back rent on the storage to get them. So we both ganged up to get our money back. He had a cousin who worked out a gym with one of "the boys". HA, 81, AFFA, motorcycle enthusiasts... This "Boy" put the fear of God into the scammer in a serious way and said scammer called us up saying he's left our money plus a little extra for our troubles under the planter by the door. And he did. We never met the biker or heard what happened when he went to the guys place. Betcha Kurt asks a lots of questions now to find out who his scam victims are or who they know before he acts. |
