Car was owned by a local named Rob Larsen. He has since passed. Once he took delivery of the car he immediately took off the 454 emblems and replaced with 396 emblems and paraded the car around as a low perf 396. Apparently, he made quite a few bucks until the word spread of this red 396 in the local circuits.

He also immediately removed the exhaust system and replaced with headers, also removed the smog system, and many of the original engine components(card, distributor, intake, etc).

I have since recovered many of these original parts.

I also met several of Rob's local buddies who told many stories of Rob and the local street scene in Franklin, Pa. Lot's of car history there.

I have a '67 Ford (sorry, I just said the "F" word) Fairlane with a built 514. Has 289 flags on the fenders...

Nice Chevelle.

Interestingly, my brother who is older and was bigger into the local scene, didn't recall it either. Go figure....

There were some other special cars around.....
