I know in 68.. on the Camaros they used a plastic strip in the gutter of the drip rail.....My car had them, and I've been lucky enough to have seen a few others....Very tough pieces to find today. Most broke due to the heat and went sailing down the road.......

69 Camaro's don't have this problem as the vinyl top ends
about an inch offset to the inside of the drip rail. A
separate trim piece covers the edges all around. This
feature is the only reason I am planning to put my vinyl
top back on some day.

Nuch

Throw the material in the trunk and bring the car to SCR-X. Some of the best in the hobby will be there. We'll make it a Restoration Seminar.

(Actually, not a bad idea; whaddya think?)

Bob:
The non-padded top is available from The Paddock. Very correct. The rain gutter retainers pre-66 were stainless steel strips - not the mylar/chrome strip used in '67 and up.
