only 45 MPH? Wasn't any of this goin' on by chance? Seriously though, whoever was driving/riding should consider themselves VERY LUCKY to have escaped with their lives.

Good eye Shonye! The bent frame was actually the reason for the total. The car is getting a used replacement frame. The dash as well is getting replaced. The only reason the customer is saving this car is because it is a real 138 car with original block and rear end. After disassembly and squaring things back up it really does not appear that bad.

Driver and passenger are incredibly lucky given the fact that they were not wearing seat belts Hopefully they will not take that chance again.

Glad they are ok. The old 66 braking system especially manual did nothing to help the situation.

Joseph, Funny you should mention that. The new owner is going with an aftermarket Power Brake set up.

I agree that they were incredibly lucky. If they weren't
wearing them the first time, they won't the next time either.
