Stewart Warner Reintroduces Green Line™ Gauges for Muscle Car Enthusiasts

LANCASTER, PA.—September, 2006. Stewart Warner has reintroduced its Green Line™ gauges in recognition of growing consumer demand for authentic instrumentation for muscle and classic cars. Derived from Stewart Warner’s Custom-Deluxe™ line, Green Line™ gauges are named for the instantly recognized green trim ring that surrounds a silver disk in the center of the gauge. These gauges were originally used in Ford Shelby Cobra Mustangs, Yenko Camaros and other high performance cars in the 1960s.

Green Line™ gauges feature the bright orange-red pointers with silver hubs, and classic easy-to-read graphics. Of particular note, the ammeter includes the original slotted style pointer configuration.

FEATURES

Updated gauge motor ensures compatibility with today's performance vehicles and smooth pointer operation over the life of product
Authentic Green Line™ graphics and content
Distinctive silver disk in center of gauge
Virtually identical to the originals—the ideal solution for consumers seeking authenticity
Bright orange pointer with silver hub
2-5/8” and 2-1/16” units available; fits typical panel cut-outs

I contacted Tim listed above and he indicated that Auth SW dealers should be able to place orders at this time and SUMMIT will be listing gauges also.

Click on the above link and download the GREEN LINE PDF for applications and part numbers.

The Tachometer is still under concideration. TIM asked for input from the consumers on which tach they would be most interested in having reproduced. He also indicated that he is interested in input via E-mail from the enthusisasts to provide evidence of demand for the product to justify its production. So let him know you are out there and wanting this product.

They would like to hear about the particular S/W Model # tach that would be desired to be reproduced.
I assumed it would be the Model 970 Custom face green line w/ pedestal mount 8K with appx 270 degree sweep?

Well Check with SUMMIT they, (2-5/8" Green line gages) are avail now!
Part numbers for example: use "SWW690J" Ammeter, "SWW691L" Oil press (mech), "SWW692H" water temp.

They appear to be around 90-100$ each!

With the 1400$ auction for the NOS model 970 tach I think they would be stamping them out soon, ha ha.
