Wow. I got the story from a friend is Mississippi, who had lunch with Darrens brother (works for the FBI or some such?) who said that Darren had the Zl1 resto on a web site. He (the friend, Don 'Mr Camaro' in Biloxi) is not web savy and wanted me to find the site so He could take a peek at it.

Guess it's like that class experiment, by the time it gets to you, it's different that what was said. I saw this thread, and thought it might be the same car. Sorry if there was any confusion.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. I have ZL-1 number 17's engine block. I have been trying to find this car to no avail. I would like to buy number 17 or at the worst cast scenario (for me) reunite the engine with the car or another ZL-1 that needs a correct engine block.

My original intention was to install this engine in a tribute race car but instead I am installing a GM performance crate engine because I could not bear the thought of damaging this original block.

The block is standard bore and when I bought it, the block needed a minor repair, which has been done. The work was completed and the block authenticated by one of the foremost experts on Camaros. The engine block is ready for assembly and is as new. There is no doubt that this is the real deal.

I have documents authenticating this engine and the complete history of this engine. If anyone has any information or interest please give me a call.

Best regards

Mike

Ok Just so that everyone knows I am not b s ing here is the cert and a pic of the block. I will not post pics of the VIN or other unique stampimgs of this motor it is real and I need some help finding the car or help reuniting the engine to the car. Please understand I know what the car is worth even if it needs a major restoration and will have the funds to purchase the car.

P.S. I hope everyone is having a great holiday weekend.

Mike
