Check your e mail. I had the "first lady" send some shots of the inside of the station. Everything is on the honor system. Pops 50 cent outta the refrig. Just leave it on the counter. If they'd have had ethyl, I'd have filled er up. Benny, hope to make it up. Tryin to talk Jensen into bringing his deuce as he's never been to VF. And to my good friend Bob, I don't have any carrier pidgeons, but I do have a bird for you. "Long as I remember, the rains been fallin down." |

[/ QUOTE ] Great shots, Mayor and it was nice meeting you and the Iowa crew at SCR9. As Bbbenny said, c'mon out to Vettefest! We will have a great time and it would be neat to have a collection of Dueces in the sYc Showcase. Let me know if there is anything I can do to talk you and the rest of the crew into making the trek. |

I lined up the meeting at the old station. I hung out there with friends in high school and after. One of my friends bought it and restored it to look old. He had some ethyl globes but never thought to put them up. I have some pictures of the 3 deuces lined up at my house. They were at my house before and after the photo shoot at the station. As a lifelong Nova guy, (I've had over 30) it was a thrill to have Novas of this caliber on my property. It's not something us commoners get to experience very often. It likely tripled (or more) my property value for a few hours. Jon left a few reminders on the road out front so I wouldn't forget he was there. My 2 yr old daughter liked the yellow one best! The old wrecker goes back a long way in our town. It's a Weaver, he put it on a diffent chassis we got from Neb. last year. I don't have any more pics of it but can get some. |
