Hello Sam. ![]() ![]() The benefits of a good synthetic oil vs a petroleum oil are many and include; superior power/throttle response, superior fuel economy, lower emissions, reduced maintenance/repair costs, reduced engine operating temperatures, less sludge/an internally cleaner engine, superior cold engine starting, superior high temperature engine protection, reduced wear/engine runs "like new" for a longer period of time and other benefits as well. My Yenko Camaro has had nothing but AMSOIL synthetic motor for almost twenty years and I wouldn't want anything less to protect that engine, not to mention the tranmission and rear axle. ![]() ![]() Steve 17 Year Independent AMSOIL Synthetic Lubricants Dealer www.lubedealer.com/HiTechOilCo <--Free catalogue |

[ QUOTE ]
With all the talk of Rotella vs. other brand oils this question came up offline. I am running Mobil 1 in my Z. I was under the impression that once you run synthetic it is not recommended you go back to non-synth. Can I do this? Looking for opinions/advice. ![]() [/ QUOTE ] Darren, you'll be fine but why go back to regular Dino oil? A quality full Synthetic is far superior to anything that comes out of the ground. I've been using Amsoil and Mobil 1 in all my vehicles for years. My used oil analysis show that the stuff works. Visit www.BOBISTHEOILGUY.com for more good info.
