HUGE wknd on Monterey Peninsula..where's everyone?

I took a few pictures from the prior weekends pre-historics @ Laguna. If anyone is intersted I can try and post a few. It was a very informal laid back weekend and I spent more time drooling than taking actual pix...I think I got a few goods shots though.

too bad I left the extra batteries at home...good thing we live close. I am emailing Bruce a few pix and he'll help get them up here when he has a chance.

Well I finished my car at 7 am Sunday morning .. put it on the trailer and hustled to Laguna . When we fired it at Laguna the engine had a moderate oil leak..easy fix . The gasket between the engine case and oil filter got kinked. Fortunatley the gasket , made out of cork, was ok and we buttoned it up and no leak...did two easy laps to get a little something on the brakes and when I tried to get into it the motor stumbled badly..another easy fix but the powers to be would not let me run the race..unreal ! Anyway the car turned out great and many people commented that it was the nicest looking 935 at the event.. personally I liked all the cars but it felt good to hear people talking positivley about the car.. not bad for a complete top to bottom restoration in 9 1/2 weeks.

I saw Bruce Canepa's and Jamie Mazzotta's car run..but yours certainly did look sweet in the paddock.

Here it is on the track...didn't have time to strip the car properly or put all the sponsor decals on but am now working on it so the car will look as it did for the 1981 24 Hours of Daytona where the car finished 8th over all

Okay...here come the pics in the order that I received them. I have to do this fast...as I will be reliving my youth tonight. The whole family is going to see Journey/Def Leppard. (one advantage of having friends on rock radio here in Phoenix...I can get tickets for whatever show I want)
