Thanks Marlin

I'm still mulling over what to do. I really don't want to convert the car to 4-speed, and that closes the door on the L78 option if I want to do the F.A.S.T. thing.

The low HP 396's won't cut the mustard in F.A.S.T trim...but they were available with a 400 Turbo. Go figure.

Of course, I could always build the thing the way I want to (468-ish motor, lots'a orange paint, 400 turbo and 4.56's...) and just enjoy the thing.

That oughtt'a be fun, no?

The Springfield swap meet is this weekend...maybe I'll stumble across something out there that'll help me decide which direction to go.

(supposed to be a balmy 30 freakin' degrees Sat. am, and I ain't looking forward to wandering around in that!)

Where did the summer go?

Update: Looks like there's no need to "convert" the car over to a 4-speed...turns out after some trim tag deciphering that the car is an original Q-code bench seat 4-speed that someone's converted to automatic. (what can I say?...I'm still on my learning curve with trim tag option codes)

Hmmmmmmm........

Anyone know where I can find a set of 391's and an 069 intake for cheap?!? lol
