Joe,
I was at the NYC Collisium for that '67 show. Saw Joel and all the cars. I loved seeing Ritchie's '63, but I was bummed because they had the hood open, and the engine was covered with that cheesy "angel hair" stuff all the show guys used to cram in the dirty areas. Ahhh, the sixties..................
Hindsight.......wish I would have joined the Supercar Club and grabbed a bunch of decals. All I have are a few catalogs and some 'MP" window stickers. (not for sale)

You've got a better memory than me Verne, but I remember how Joel and his crew looked like they stepped out of one of my old H.S. classes. It just seemed funny, here were these young H.S. lookin guys having a display in with the old establishment car companies. It was pretty ---

Joe,
I felt the same way. I was 16 (had to take the bus in). I was just knocked over by how young they were, and surrounded by all that "new" high perf stuff. And Joel presented himself as a professional, clean cut, suit and tie, successful and confident. What a new beginning and era for common car guys who lived and breathed hot Chevys. Hard to describe the impression that made on me. I was just in awe.

Mosport,
I have a "very, very" thin lead about car locked up here in NJ, but nothing substantial. Joel gave me the last number he had for Richie up in New England, but I was never able to get through to him.

Verne
PS: No, none of us really left. I don't know when that picture was taken, because when I was there, they were 3 deep around those ropes.....

Verne, I know a fella that knew Richie Brown and he said he bumps into him in Florida. He tried to contact him last year for me, but the number he had was no longer good.According to him the car was not with Richie anymore.
