With all the good stuff going on at Cadillac maybe there will be some chance of a COPO GTO program
![]() As for the blower, I think that is being used on the 4 cam convertible model. |

two years ago i was @ the gm tech center and saw the prototype for these cars being built. two corvette "mule" chassis being fitted with prototype caddy body panels, another mostly complete caddy without drivetrain up on a lift, got to walk under it and talk with the tech center guys doing the installation. very cool tour indeed. saw lots of holden midsize cars torn apart in the same type of comparison with other gm models. as always no cameras allowed.

They are.....one of the coolest things that I have seen in my career is when I worked at the Caddy dealer and they dropped off the CTSV...I was right there. They unloaded it NOT out of a normal transport truck but an enclosed semi truck with the two levels and there were brand new Z06 Vettes rigt in front of them....damn where was my camera when I needed it!

No. Cadillac has two cars that share parts with the Vette. This CTS-V car is on the Sigma platform which started in 2002(?) with the V6 5-speed CTS, which is still available with the choice of two V6s. They threw a bunch of new parts on it (LS6, 6-speed, big brakes, suspension, front and rear fascia mods...) along with some bracing and heavier rear frame rails to build the monster CTS-V. The other car which is based on the Corvette (Y) platform is the XLR with the 4.6L Northstar V8 and a retractable hardtop.
It's easy to get the letter cars crossed. CTS-V = LS6, 6-speed...4-Door Sedan, Sigma Platform XLR = 4.6L Northstar, 5-speed, 2-Door, Rect. Hardtop, Corvette Platform On the V16 1000hp, 1000lb-ft cruiser, I think it was killed last fall. Too bad, I wanted to see and hear it go. |

The Cadillac 16. I'm with Paul, I'd like to see and hear it go. I think Charley needs to build a car around one of these.

The CTS-V is a very cool car. I think I read in Autoweek that Cadillac is working on a future 600hp version. Anyone hear something similar?
