What I forgot to mention is that while there seems to be an interest in the cars down there.. In your particular case there seems to be a strong odor of fish coming from you post. Proceed with extreme caution. Wonder how easy it was to get the parts to restore it 95%?

I would be careful too, but you never know, there is a HEMI Charger here in Norway that got here from the United Arabian Emirates, the car is for real, and very unmolested!

I agree with NEW,bee careful. But just because the car is overseas doesn´t mean it´s a fake. The -67 Plymouth Belvedere 4-door HEMI-car in Finland, is the real thing !

I guess if someone was going to pay the money to ship one it might as well be the right car!

A few weeks ago there was a post about all the jackasses that were being attracted to this board. While I believe this is a great forum for sharing knowledge, it's not meant to give credence to crap like this. What a freaking joke. Does he also have a lead on an original LS7 Chevelle?

well, while i wont make a comment about your extreme ignorace. i'll keep posting.

i travel from the US to Lima quite a few times a year..

i wont buy a car like that without seing it first alright?

i saw the car last time a few weeeks ago. at a first sight looks like a yenko, but again, i havent had much time to check it out thoughly, plus am no yenko expert.

the paint is crappy, but mechanically is OK.

how they get the parts?? easily, just buy them here and ship them to south america. duh!!

if you have any doubt cars like this exist overseas
check this wepage of the collection of this guy in lima

http://www.museodelautomovilnicolini.com/

he owns about 64 classic cars in a private collection near my house in Lima, from a corvette stingray, to bel air, to ford T, auburn speedster, shelby gt 350, etc, etc.

am going to south america in a few weeks to check the car,

and if in fact is what I expect, my question again is, whats the paperwork to bring it to the US?? do anybody knows??

any surefire way to tell if its actually a yenko??? tips or hints would be greatly appreciatted.

the price is extremely good, and i have little doubt is actually a yenko.

In your first post you stated you have little doubt its a real yenko... I asked once and will ask again, what makes you think its real besides the stripes I'm assuming it has? In your latest posts you don't seem as sure about the legitimacy of the car... what color is it? What other details are leading you to believe its a car that was built in Canonsburg PA and is now in South America and for sale cheap?

paint? its flat black, its obviously not the original. probably painted a few years ago.

what makes me think is a yenko??

the cars title in peru usually copies the importation paper car name.

it said 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Yenko. i have not seen the original importation papers, but the title always copy the brand name of the importation papers. this means it was imported as a 1969 chevrolet camaro yenko.

i doubt who imported the car 30 years ago was going to pass it thru customs as a yenko just because, knowing they are more expensive, thus paying more taxes when importing.

Cool..If you can get the vin and maybe trim tag info we can tell you if it is real. There should be someone here that can give advise as to how to get it into the US.
