I had a fiberglass lift off hood on one car and had it pinned down in four corners and it would lift in the front so I added another pin centered in the front.
As Bergy, Freddie and Richard spoke of the other hood in the pictures below, the pins were moved inward. From the bottom view, you could see that hood had threaded holes for factory hinges but no provision to mount the front hood latch. |

Good info and thanks for the pics. If the hood has a provision for the hood latch then would the outboard be
the better solution? Eddie, I would say yes. If you’re using the center hood latch I would space the hood pins out further. |

My hood is exactly like the on RobR pictured above. On mine the pin holes are located on the center brace that goes across the front. That brace is directly over the radiator support. When I have the SS hood on it I put a dummy bolt in the hood pin hole of the radiator support.
