looks like N684512 THE N&6 are very light but the 84512 is clear

It's good that you can read most of the vin. Most times, you can't read the vin down by the oil filter. I heard that some blocks weren't stamped with a vin, if this is true??

You sure about that second number being an 8? That would make this engine a bit too early for that VIN. Is it a 5 or 6?? Got pics??

Seems a lot of blocks the N is not as clear, the fonts probably wore a lot from repeated use at the Norwood plant.
