Several years ago my father had an extremely nice Survivor '74 GTO. I've been a fan of them ever since despite the hatred they seem to get from many people. Always thought a "what if" version with a SD 455 would be an awesome car.

I think the hatred comes mainly from the die-hard GTO fans....they feel the same about them as they do about the 2000-era GTOs. Anything that's not a LeMans-based GTO is just a poser.
