At the pure Stock muscle car Drags the zl1 camaro s, l88 vettes and hemi cuda, road runner or other hemi cars are always at the top, keep in mind, we run polyglas tires with no headers and full exhaust.
The zl-1 vette would be the one to have, but with only 2 being made, they do not allow it. The 67 l88 vette would also run, except the only automatic was a power glide, the 4 speed on any polyglas tire is tough to launch and the 1-2 shift is a wild ride

Thanks guys. Had a death in family and just dealing with it. Looking for a future investment that I might want is the reason for this thread.
I'm probably going to do a '69 ZL-1 Vette as I already have that motor. And sorta a ZLX type deal with my '69 Nova so mirror the ZLX Camaro. Thanks for the input.

Please keep us posted on if you do a '69 ZL1 Vette. A local friend found a full ZL1 over the counter long block built by Tonawanda and stamped for installation in an automatic Corvette. He's looking for a car to install the engine.

Tim, will do. I a few different trans that I could use. Not sure I want a stick with my motor. Mine is done like a F.A.S.T. style build, looks OEM on the outside, but far for OEM inside. Mine dyno'ed at 785 after we got the bugs worked out. And that's with the 198 intake, 074 heads and even OEM style "cheater" chrome valve covers. Now I need a body for the '69 Vette.
I'm thinking my ZLX should be in the 900hp range with the Day 2 parts.
