I was making reference to the trim tag that is on my 71' Nova. That trim tag indicates -- -- (no numbers) where the paint code is normally located and again has anyone ever noticed this? Is it common? TAZ

I believe that to be true as well but maybe there were some loopholes that could allow you to keep an older plate. Here is a brand new '67 Impala with an ADF 951 plate. Ebay photo auction |

I think the plates depended on where in Ca. the car was sold, too...UEY series plates were issued to my brother's 1967 RS/SS 396 sold new at Cone Chevrolet in Fullerton Ca.

Very interesting....I don't think I have ever seen or heard of a 69 Nova with a Parchment vinyl roof before. It's especially unusual since there was no Parchment interior available on the 69 Nova.
