Re: Don Yenko Championship Trophy
Very cool indeed! Great stuff. As for this 1968 trophy I can't be sure of its origin, but I do know that season Don Yenko also ran in the SCCA Ap class with a Corvette. He was Midwest Divisional champ that year, and raced in the 1968 ARRC Championship race where he placed 5th.

Re: Don Yenko Championship Trophy
Ed was my neighbor in McMurray, Pa. He was big in sprint cars ,as an owner...had many big names drive for him. Before his Cobra, he won 2 National Championships in C/Modified ( forerunner to USRRC and CanAm )in a Genie powered by a 289 Ford, which had been raced by folks like Pedro Rodriguez and Dan Gurney earlier. He also drove an early 60's Corvette for Gulf.Very skilled racer , he looked more like an accountant...but had his own business for many years. Ed is who got me into road racing in the area and sent me to Yenko in 1966.

Re: Don Yenko Championship Trophy
That makes sense. I got a lot of his Offy stuff that came from his estate in addition to the Cobra, Yenko, and even Howmet Turbine car fx...
