Of course it won't.... its an alternative to him as the cost of an original or NOS may be out of his budget.

If you remember he only wanted to pay around 40 bucks for a used one.

I've seen "many original survivor cars". with aged reproduction pieces.
And a few cars "Restored with 90% repo parts" to look like a 30 year old untouched 'original'
And of course 100% totally concourse restorations
With nothing but reproduction parts....so, what is really 'correct' ????

I parted a few 70 Z's back in the day....I always took the obvious stuff..the sway bar, gas pedal, and all drivetrain goodies..but never knew about this bracket... neat stuff..always learning...anyone have a pic of one mounted on car??

Most guys and service centers took them off and discarded them at the time a carb was serviced, valves were set or even distributor work . They were looked at as a insignificant support bracket.

Modified cars surely had that ugly piece of tin thrown away as it wasn't "cool" with a Chrome Dual Feed fuel line

FWIW the repop is pretty good looking other than the wrong logo stamped on it, I found an original with original fuel line - was just around $600 but it did come with the carb
