Tom Naquin's is still in business here in Elkhart. I bought a new car from them about a year ago. Thad Naquin is running the business now. Why don't you call him and tell him you have a car from there. Maybe he can put you in touch with some old timers who used to work there and may remember the car. My dad bought a 70 Nova new from there as well.

As our research continues on this car it appears that this Z/28 was bought by Phillips Petroleum Marking Department. According to the NCRS paperwork the purchasing dealer was Phillips Petroleum in Oklahoma City, OK. Phillips Petroleum's corporate headquarters was and still is in Bartlesville, OK, but their marketing department was and remains in Oklahoma City, OK. So, as our research continues it is safe to say lineage of this Z/28 begins at Phillips Petroleum's Marketing Department.

Removing all the undercoating exposes the great rust and damage free floors. Also being exposed is the original Hugger Orange overspray.

The metal work on the body and floors have begun. The entire body is in final sanding of the first coat of primer!
