----Maybe timing had something to do with these two sales. If the convert went off late enough bidders may have dwindled down to nothing. I had it happen to me......Bill S

Rich. Jerry M now works for B-J doing inspections so he is certifying a lot of different cars, many of them LS6's.
As far as market value, the Misty Turquoise LS6 convert I restored sold a couple of months ago for 68 Yenko money. Second time in 7 years it has brought that kind of money.

SS427 - any idea why the red LS6 vert keeps selling so cheap (relatively)?

![]() Here's a link to the car advertised @ BJ Las Vegas 2013 as mentioned above. http://www.barrett-jackson.com/Archi...ERTIBLE-157906 The statement posted below is interesting, especially w/ respect to how matching #'s actually means original drivetrain components again. ~ Pete From this link... http://z28camaro.com/wp/barrett-jackson-auctions/ In the Fall of 2012, Jerry MacNeish and Norman Meads were hired by Vice President of Consignment, Gary Bennett, at The Barrett Jackson Auction Company. Our job is to authenticate all restored first-generation Camaros, Nova’s and Chevelle’s that are consigned to all Barrett Jackson auctions. Our mission is to protect the consigners and buyers who attend these auctions by verifying that the description on all vehicles is correct. If the description states that the car is number’s matching, it is our job to verify and certify that the drive train in the car is original to the car. If it is not, the consigner must change the description of the vehicle. Due to all of the fraud and misrepresentation in the car hobby today, Barrett Jackson is going the extra distance to bring honesty back to the collector car hobby. Jerry MacNeish and assistant, Norman Meads attend all Barrett Jackson auctions and work on site. This includes Scottsdale, Arizona in January, Palm Beach, Florida in April, Reno, Nevada in August and Las Vegas, Nevada in September. If you plan on a future purchase at Barrett Jackson, be assured that all of the automotive specialists on staff will work with you on your purchase.

I see its OK to sell rebodies as long as its worded like finding Waldo!! They belong in a dumpster, its illegal but who cares I guess.....
You cant find a real LS6 convert(documented)and restore it for that price while Pratts garbage cars were selling for more!!! If this is the market I got two or three clients wanting one!! LOL!!! Hardtops bring this kind of money!!

What happens when the "Authenticator" says he's "not sure if the stamp is real" and that "all of these cars were ordered for racing-and all the engines were blown up". It happened this year in Scottsdale...
To me, it either is a good stamp-or it isn't?!?

Not saying this car is a rebody!! Just getting a little bothered by rebodies being ok to sell in today's market and it seems to be ok for others...

NEVER me KNOWING!!! How about you??? I dont have a huge overhead, so I try very hard to pick & choose cars that I broker under my name for 20yrs!! I have dropped numerous cars threw the years that I found out that had issues!! Funny thing is the cars that ended up having issues were INSPECTED by some of the best in the business and got by them!! Is it OK to sell rebodies as long as its (hidden)somewhere in the description?? Some people find value in a fender tag switch from a rare car to a 6 banger car and now its a million dollar car!!
