Off Ebay, but on other sites. Trying to cash in big. Just way over priced.

It may be a race car but let's not forget, it is still a 67 Z

I understand that, and that is definitely part of the appeal. At least someone had the foresight (or dumb luck, who knows which) to leave the trim tag and vin plate in place.
Still, I just can't justify 47k.

The price is $55,900 in this add. Yes it is a real Z. But the money needed to restore it will go way over the value of the car. If the car did not have the trim tag, it is not worth more than 30k on its best day. The trim tag is not worth the difference in price even for a race car.

The body is worth $25,000 minimum. So the car is worth the sum of it's parts.

Current seller told me he would take $47k. Don't know that you could sell off the race parts for 22k.
Even if I had bought it, I don't think I would restore it back to original (no original motor anyway). I dig old race cars. I would, however, sell the big block and auto trans and go with a vintage 302 build (what did Eric do with the really high winding 302 he tested a while back???) with a stick shift. Auto trans in a first gen Z may be easier to race, but just seems wrong.
