Charlie, I believe it was you on a few of those posts saying no polyglas. I agree with that as well.

If I recall correctly the Goodyear Speedway Widetread was the common 14" tire. They were on my Z11 in its original owner's honeymoon photos.

The wide treads were on my z11 that I bought from the female original owner in 1974.

There were several optional 14&quot; F70 x 14 tires: white wall, red line, raised white letter. Firestone, Goodyear and Uniroyal all supplied tires to Norwood &amp; Van Nuys. As of April 2, 1969 PL4 F70 x 14 RWL FG belted tires became available to order; the Goodyear Polyglas <span style="font-weight: bold">may</span> have been one of the brands used. The only documented PL4 car is a COPO with a Firestone spare. Several survivor cars exist with a Polyglas spare in the proper time frame but no supporting paperwork. In fact one of them has factory docs that does NOT list PL4. Very common for dealers to swap out tires in those days.

There was no 15&quot; tire option. Those were built with either Firestone Sport Car 200 or Goodyear Wide Tread GT, E70 x 15.

The overall restoration looks pretty good...nicely detailed although the leaf springs are incorrect for this car and I agree with Dave that the exhaust could've been fitted better. Not knowing when this car was built, early production '69 Super Sport Camaros &amp; Chevelles came equipped with chambered exhaust. But according to Jerry MacNeish's Definitive Fact book (4th. edition page 37) the chambered exhaust was discontinued ( with options Z/28, L34, L78, and L89) on November 25, 1968 because of what some local and state police might like to call &quot;excessive noise&quot;. It's odd the owner hasn't posted paper work or anything that would also help sell this car. I wish that at least he would have had posted pics of the cowl tag. He states the car was sold brand new in January 24, 1969---<span style="font-style: italic">assuming</span> if the car was built in December, 1968 (Norwood) this cars' cowl tag should have an X-22 (style trim group w/SS396) and black rear panel which it does have. Now for the tires, I have seen vintage pics (they don't have to be Goodyears but which for some reason I can't seem to find those pics right now ) with Uniroyal Tiger Paw F70-14 or Firestone Wide Oval F70-14 both brands in raised white letters...and also in plain white and red line tires. My car on the other hand (whether it's right or wrong) has the Goodyear Polyglas repros.

I would think the exact opposite. I wouldn't want my paperwork out there for everybody to duplicate for a clone car. That information can be shared only with real buyers. As for the tires I don't know why everybody is focusing on them. Who cares!!!! There's so much more to talk about than to try to pick the guys car apart on tire usage. I don't know the seller or have a horse in the race but it seems strange that there are not more positive remarks from this site. I'm sure privately a lot of you would love to own this car.

Tires are the easiest things to replace or correct, when I bought my Triple Black LS6 I bought the car with the radial T/A's on the rims and put the correct F-70-14 Goodyear Polyglas tires on within 2 weeks. So anyone can correct the tires on this beautiful Camaro if they are not correct, at least you'll get a few bucks for the old ones, my radial T/A's I had to give them away. X66 car - notice the roofrail is painted, so the wheelwell moldings were added.
I'll add that the trans and axle are not original to the car.
