Vintage pics show it with SS wheel covers with white rims, so I'm thinking it had dog dishes originally? Also, they put an SS horn button on it when it had the original "Camaro" button in the vintage pics. I love the car, but wish they had spent just a little more time on the undercarriage details. What a great cruise night car...if anyone is local, I'd pay for your time and expenses to go and take a look at it for me

What vintage pics? Show us! BTW, what are "SS" wheel covers? |

Being a '69 guy would be OK, as I would just want a condition report. I know '67's pretty well and can cover that part I'm going to call them tomorrow to ask some questions.
"before" pics are on the restoration website. The SS covers look like those on an early Chevy 2 or Chevelle.

We know Chevrolet used extra '63 Impala SS wheel covers in both '67 and '68 so perhaps the '65 style seen on this car before were owner added? Maybe the dealer had them in the parts department and snapped them on there on the lot or at the time of sale? |

Cool car. I could get used to that gold interior.

Looked closely at the pics as I was prepared to buy the car, but I noticed that the left quarter panel and rocker have been changed...and all of the front end sheetmetal. Strange for what appears to be a rust free shell???? I called the dealer and of course, it is "all original metal"

Mark....are you talking about pic #150 in the restoration link? Also, I was wondering why the the front end is showing black body parts....The last front end I put on a '69 was more than a few years ago( when I was going to school)... so I saw that and was wondering if the restoration process has changed or did they just get some NOS parts and put them on.

If you look at pic 174 you can see that the left quarter panel is black in the door jamb and the rocker is black too. I then blew up some pics and noticed that the stamping on the right quarter has the correct full "phone receiver" shape but the left quarter has the partial receiver stamping. I am talking with them to get more details.
