I happened to see the post & thought I would share. I've been a member here for a few years, just don't post that often.

Just one thing that was wrong with the article is that all GT's started as a V8 T-37 2 dr post ('70 only)or 2 dr ht. To be able to get the GT on any available V8 had to be ordered first. The V8 was NOT part of the GT package. I do have the advertisements and paperwork to prove it.
Again, sometimes, good intentions come up short. Not picking but do want corret information about these cars. If you want to know more about you can find me at Performance Years forums under my name: Jack Peters. I happen to be the owner of a '71 T-37, 2 dr sedan.(not a GT or HT) 455HO, 4 speed car.

Jack, I'm Diego on PY.

And while I can't remember for a moment what I wrote, I believe I posted a thread there while writing the article to see what the prevailing wisdom was from the Pontiac cognoscenti, and most people agreed that only the hardtop was built despite ads to the contrary. Again, I'm going from memory and not from what I believe to be factual.
