I am actually friend's with Joe Spino who owned and built the Born Free car,and have also spoken to the owner of the Convincer II a few times. Born Free was a factory 427 car Joe said it was a Motion car,but also said it had a bone stock 427 and steel cowl hood when he bought it. It may have been a COPO. As for the Convincer II,it belonged to a guy named Big Danny. It was a factory 427 4 speed car. I was sold to somebody in New Zealand back in the day. I wonder where either car is now. We tracked Born Free into the mid 80's but lost track of it other then to say that it was supposedly painted brown and had a black v-top put on it.

Richard, I have talked to the current owner of the Convincer II. It is here in the south of Sweden.
Interesting to hear that the "Born Free" Camaro was a bone stock 427 car when Joe bought it.

O.K.copo,I got that info from Joe jr. He was 10+ years from being born yet when that car left the country. I guess he just knew that it went somewhere far away. Does the current owner know that it was a factory 427 4 speed car? What kind of shape is it in now?

Richard, the current owner bought it believing it was a Yenko Chevelle, but I have told him it is an "ordinary" COPO Chevelle.
You can read more about it here: https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/ubbt...159&page=5
