I think I may be missing your point Dan but I will agree there has been an appalling media frenzy around Toyota's recent safety issues, but then the media loves to tear-down a winner. Personally, I think it's great that Ford is doing so well--it's about time we got some good news out of Detroit after all these years of Japan and Germany eating our lunch. All we've seemed to do well in the past dozen or so years is build pickup trucks and SUVs.

Dan: Thought so. But I can be really slow on the uptake too so you gotta' watch me. Auto detail season is upon us here in the PacNW so I may be picking your brain soon.
