Over the past 10 years or so, I've become a big fan of http://www.torquetechexh.com/ They even sell a 3 1/2 inch system which wraps over the axle and really drarwf's the 3 inch systems that everybody seems to have these days. I've installed a few of these systems and let me tell you, if you got a decent rat motor up front, that 3 1/2 system really thunders!

I spent countless hours researching, buying and then modifying my ou7t of the box system.

I wanted the best fit, best appearing, best hanging, good performance, good sound, (I didnt care about absolute TOP performance) at a good price point.

I found a MAGNAFLOW vendor on the net that had free shipping, NO sales tax.

I had read many threads on Camaros.net and spoke with many people. My conclusion was the below system.

That is one sweet looking exhaust.
That would look so out of place on the unrestored, 40 year old underside of my car.

I know you mentioned that you wanted a cross flow muffler due to clearance, but I run these mufflers on my 67, and i promise you, you'll have great ground clearance because the mufflers are so small. They are flowmaster 1 chamber mufflers and its a 3" setup with an x pipe. I have them dumped at the rear axle because they sound better that way. Everytime I drive the car people say man, that sure does sound good, or they'll ask me what the setup is.
