Default Painting a 1970 Camaro Dash Pad Surround

I thought I'd post this info here as well as at my original thread at NastyZ28. 1970 Camaros with non-black dash pads had black dye on the inner near the dash carrier. This also seems to be a 70 only thing as owners of 71 and above cars don't seem to have this detail. Anyway, I wanted to try and duplicate it and immediately started seeing potential problems. For instance, this would be near impossible to mask off and if I did I was afraid I might ruin or peel the blue on the dash. I also didn't like the idea of spraying this on while in the car and was too lazy to tackle removing the pad from the car. On a tip from Joey Gray I was able to do it without masking, spraying or a mess. Joe supplied me with the paint and told me to use a foam brush. Took me all of 15 minutes and I think it turned out great. Many thanks to Joe Gray! Take a look:
