It's sad and too bad it won't retain survivor status. Gotta love those survivors cuz they are only original once. Sweet ride my friend.

VERY nice ride! Have you got it running yet? I would love to see pics of the car out in daylight.
Hold me back... I'd sure like to buy that car just to preserve it as a survivor.

If you intended to preserve the car as a survivor, I've gotta ask why you didn't leave the tag in original condition?

as far as the tag being painted, the guy I bought the car from years ago did that right when he got it to preserve it. There is rust here and there on this car, and the tag was pitted.

Bob, I sure like your 71 'cuda! Any chance I could interest you in a PARTIAL trade for an original-paint 1970 340 'cuda survivor? If not, perhaps I can interest someone else so I can buy yours? The difference between this limelight green 'cuda is that it has been off the road since 1979 and needs more of a mechanical rebuild to get it back on the road. The matching numbers motor has been pulled and disassembled. Original automatic tranny is still intact. The car has very solid floors, but has rust in the trunk pan and right lower quarter as seen in the second photo (trunk drop-offs are both mint). It is documented by the original fender tag and buildsheet (still under the seat).

helmut, my wife would shoooooot me if I bought your cool car, a) because I promised her I would sell the black cuda when I bought the L78 camaro (2 yrs have passed), b) I have another 71 cuda incorrectly painted now in that green color (which is supposed to be curious yellow with white billboards and white interior). I would be hanging from a tree if that 70 was sitting in the garage. She has told me I don't 'need' 2 71 cudas and the orders have come down from above (she did say I need a nice BIG garage..so full steam ahead there). Nice car though. I am an ebody nutt, especially a 340 fan. It will be sad for some of us that sell ebodies as I predict 2-5 yrs from now they come back up. I think they are being over punished in the market, they only made 5k cudas in all of 71 as example, whereas looking at my 69 camaro, they made that many L78s alone. The production for mopars is really low on the cool models when compared to gm and ford models. don't give that 70 away, although you have a currency advantage that is hard to beat.

Yeah Bob, that Canadian currency can work for me if I sell but usually works against me if I buy. I'm in the same boat with my wife... but then again, I'm still alive! Maybe with that new BIG garage you'll have room to hide a car or two. Keep in touch, eh.
