That's interesting,as I recently visited a friend who lives near the Chain O'Lakes here in Il.
I saw two BB engines beat to hell, laying in an enjoining yard with those valve covers on them.

Really? Got any pictures?

They probably came out of an original ZL-1 and were sold for racing in a boat so they could sell the cars at the end of the year

Not at my house they aren't. I have a closet full of NOS chrome plated ones in sealed boxes. The bad thing about these is they won't fit a Camaro or Nova with power brakes unless you severely modify them. If they are the plain stamped steel variety (non-chromed) I would say an even swap for a pair of real finned aluminum Motion covers would be more than fair.

[/ QUOTE ] If your running out of closet space you can send some stuff to me & i'll keep a hold on them for you.

Just look in people's backyards, you're sure to find a few pairs just laying around.

Since they're more common in the Yenko circle than I imagined, I'm going to think twice about ditching them. If they're comparable to Motion BBC covers with emblems, what kind of money are we looking at $450-500 (+/-)? Thanks to all who chimed in.

I think it's tough to say - as they can't be installed on a car they essentially become conversation pieces, or in Joe's case, closet filler!

Brain (Mr Yenko) - I left a PM and an email with my phone number, no word back from you in a couple weeks. Let me know if you want the valve covers before I throw them up on ebay. Thanks.

were they floating up in a river next to a hemi??

...but Joe, can you post a pic of the valve covers you are talking about?? I would think a set of real Motion covers would be worth a bit more than later Yenko covers that wont fit a Camaro anyway..Thanks max
