That's too bad Mark. Thanks for the offer as well. I think I might have found a buy local. Going to get it done Friday. But it's in storage at the time and trusting the man as I am trying my hand at the "sight unseen" and only in video's and pictures.

Good luck! I've had mostly good luck with sight unseens, but I always try and find someone local if I don't know the car or seller. I got burnt on my last 993 purchase in 2018 by trusting the seller. I even sent him my paint meter and trusted the readings that he told me he took - 100% original paint! Well, try more like 60% original paint and then I found out 2 years later it had a $42,000 accident repair when it was 2 years old that wasn't on the Car Fax.

If its Tom's Ontario Orange LT1 you're talking about that car is AMAZING. He lives about a mile down the road from me I've drooled on it a few times lol. He showed it at MCACN show a few years back.

Mark,
I would be willing if you get close on it. We'd have to talk. Tim |

Thanks Tim. I appreciate it. We’ve hit a bit of an impasse I think. The front calipers are leaking and the seller doesn’t want to fix them. The trucking company won’t want to risk loading the car onto a double decker trailer without good brakes. We’ve agreed on a price, but the brakes are a problem. To be honest, I expect a $50k plus car to have working brakes!

Just want to publicly thank Napa68 (Tim) for all of the help that he offered me to try and get this deal done. Unfortunately, it didn’t work out for a number of reasons.

I hear you Tim! I think some seller’s just don’t understand the leap of faith that a long distance deal involves...and that a $50,000 LT-1 should have working brakes!
