Yes I acquired the engine in Trumbull, CT & the car was sold new at W.R. Austin, it was initially delivered to Cowgill Chevrolet-Buick-Olds-Pontiac in Caldwell, OH. The engine has been rebuilt by Ray Mancini from Danbury, CT, he moved to TN in 2008, I just recently talked to Ray. I also talked to Brian P at the Camaro Natl's, & he told me the same story about the bank was going to repossess the Chevelle & the owner pulled the engine & buried the car.

I went to Trumbull, CT to look at a 1969 Camaro that an older gentleman has had for over 35 years, it was sold new at Seymour Chevrolet in Greenwich, CT. If anyone remembers this car, please contact me, I would like to find the original owners name, he is deceased & his daughter sold the car to Tony C., & yes, I bought the car & the Yenko engine, the car has been a drag car most of its life, all original sheetmetal except the hood, original deluxe interior is in excellent condition, along with a mint steering wheel with the grain on the rim.
The car is an:
X44 D80
10 10 black car
712 black deluxe interior
AM/FM stereo
4,551 miles

Default Drivetrain?

69L78, did your Camaro have a drivetrain in it when you purchased it?

Yes it is a running driving car, the BB was removed and there is a SB in it now with 12-1 pistons, solid lifter cam, 492 angle plug heads w/stud girdles, I will be selling the complete engine, muncie & 5.13 12 bolt soon, I have a video of the engine running if anyone may have interest.

So, to those that have heard the story, no one has ever seen the car or knows the owner in question to verify?
