Same here Paul,...hope it just needs that final financial hurdle to get released.
When it was mentioned that "We've been showing it most of last year in different film festivals all over the US. Most of our fellow film makers were amazed at how good it looks".....the way that sounds is, they have been showing the movie, not a teaser. Do they even just show trailers at film festivals? |

Hey guys, thanks for your positive remarks regarding the "Helmet" teaser.
Yes they do show "Teasers" and short films at Film Festivals. This teaser, short film looked amazing on a big movie screen in Hollywood. Many film makers use their iPhone for the pitch but I wanted it to look like the real deal. The intent is to have Helmet be an episodic cable TV show with unlimited content. I'm in a position now after putting my crew together, Director, Cinematographer (filmed the Avatar series of films) and other incredibly talented people to start our own production company, that's what the funding is about. I'm not going to name drop here but would be happy to talk to anyone not in the business thinking about this opportunity. P.S Thanks to Bruce for texting me about these questions. Bart 818-571-4701 |

That is a pretty good teaser.
I predict he gets the girl and then street races the 55 Chev and wins. If it was a 69 Camaro he'd have no chance.

Serious question. Why does it start off with the statement "Long Beach Grand Prix 1977" and then cut right to an oval track Nascar type race? Neither Long Beach nor a Grand Prix. Are you not targeting car people with this movie project? No bad intent on my part and I think the production quality looks very good.

Jon, I thought the same thing in the beginning but the plan was always to bring the characters, dialogue, color and their situations to the forefront, and make it look great. Most if not all Studio Executives wouldn't catch that as many weren't born yet or hard core car people like everyone on this site. This teaser was to get the concept noticed and instead of spending $$$ on a race car crash we used it for the cinematographer.
When this is made into a TV series or movie everything will be 100% accurate with all the cars and trucks. Hope this makes sense, thanks for your comment. |
