----Yup, Tim! Thats the one. I do have a pic of the car after I changed the color from yellow to a custom mix maroon. Hated that yellow. If that wasn't bad enough, I also had it lightly customized. That was the thing in south Florida back then. It had ten inch slots on the front and 12's on the back with Goodyear racing tires all the way around. Also OK Custom side pipes. I didn't like the big-block hood. I felt like I was trying to fake a big-block so I replaced it with a small-block hood. Can't fix stupid!.....Bill S

That wasn’t stupid back then. That “was” the thing back then just as I showed in my thread of my LT1 with the FI. These cars back then were the shtt. Now it’s all about Unrestored Survivors. CT.

Here's my first Corvette I got working two jobs when I was at University of Wisconsin from 74 to 78.
That's what we did to these cars in the mid 70's. |

Here's my second Corvette when I drove to see my College roommate over spring break in Rochester NY. This was 1977 and the car was a red/red 454 4 speed. It had hooker headers and sidepipes when I got it and you can see the remnants of the modifications to the rocker moldings.
Don't ask what happened to the first Corvette. It may still be alive, but the motor is gone. |

Question for the experts, as I’m wanting to learn the procedure on these LT1 hood stripes.
Did the hood stripes stop and then start again at both lower turns as shown in these photos? Plus, how were they applied? By hand, or by tool? Thanks, Chris

Those are correct. As I understood it, those were applied by hand |

Does anyone believe this bidding is legit? Googled the seller and he is a dealer with a few public legal issues visible on-line. Beautiful car, but $80k for a 2 star 72?
