I remember reading about those cars years ago and the landfill. I think they traced it to where it was buried and didn't go any farther, right? Not sure if there would be much left than a few crusty and bent frame rails.

Just happened to see this post.

I personally re-restored 6S011. I owned the car in the late 90's and did everything except the paint. Currently as of spring of 2005, to the best of my knowledge, the car is owned by Les Moonves, the president of CBS.

Les Quam....don't you wish you bought it from me when it was cheap? I begged you to buy it.

My current project is the 'Russ Dunmire' 68 Hurst Olds drag car. Yep THAT 68 Hurst olds....

I no longer own #11 - I intend to bring the 65 Hurst Gee-To Tiger and my 65 (Original) 427 Cobra to SCR8. Charley and the Super Snake won't know what hit him! LOL

You mean the one that got rolled after it had been sold to a new owner but before it was delivered?

Against the Cobra? The only thing Charley can hope to do is bring the Silver Arrow, leave the traction control ON and put both feet on the accelerator pedal.

Jim Ferron,

It is relatively easy to confuse me but your post has me completly lost. As far as I know we have never met and have only spoke on the phone a couple of times last November regarding 6S011 after I purchased the car from Colin last year for some background on the history of the car. I can't remember ever discussing the car with you while you owned it or you begging me to buy it?

I have owned 6S011 since last summer and it has been on display at the Shelby museum in Las Vegas since November of 2004. If the president of CBS owns a 66 GT 350 with the Shelby VIN 6S011 that would be news to both him and myself?

If you can't beat me running 14's in the Super Snake I will make you wear velcro shoes.

Stop sandbagging, Clill. My dog could break into the 13's in the Super Snake. Want me to bring him?
