This Tuxedo Black 70 El Camino SS is an LS6 with an M22 and 4.10 gears and was sold new at Bonderchuk Chevrolet in Trenton NJ to John Pullen. It is documented with a build sheet and is in the LS6 Registry. This was one of the nicer LS6's there, but I'm not sure if those inner fenders are correct. I don't remember seeing any Baltimore built Chevelles or El Caminos with inner fenders like that. It hammered for $240K.

Thanks for catching that. I just posted a bunch of Chevelle pictures before that and was still thinking Chevelles when I posted the pictures of the El Camino.

There was a Fathom Blue one that sold for $250K at Barret Jackson Scottsdale in '23 and a different Tuxedo Black one that sold for $260K at Mecum Kissimmee in '22. This is at least the fifth time this El Camino has been at an auction that I know of. It was part of a collection of three Tuxedo Black LS6 cars. There was a coupe, convertible and this El Camino. They were all at Mecum Indy in '20.

The black LS6 El Camino also belonged to my friend Brian, in addition to the Monza red 69 Corvette mentioned earlier. He did a lot of work to it since buying it a few years ago.
