I did the same thing when I Day2'd my COPO Camaro...although, I will have to say you have done a first, you made a Day2 clone out of true Day2 car...right Sammy?...ha....please note light-heartedness of context (inside joke)... </div></div> Right Fred, you are learning! Why add a set of dual quads and take the headers off. As "perfect" as that car was and as "perfect" all the original Day-2 parts were I think I would have chose a lesser version Yenko Deuce to do my custom 2014 additions to. 16 hp on the flowed exhaust manifolds? Whats that going to do for you. Going to see some track time? |

Re: "Roof" Deuce for sale ('70 YENKO Nova)
What does the word customizing mean?? Its all about doing your own thing. Scott is having a great time playing with one of his new toys. I think he put some fun touches on the car. And if he gets tired of it we can always put it back to stock, or what ever he decides to do with it. The damn car is not a Rembrandt that you cant touch. Scott and I have been there, done that.. Way too boring!

Correct Ken but Scott did put this out there for reactions so he is getting opinions which I am sure all this attention is what he wants! You can put red blinking lites in the wheelwells if you want. All a matter of taste.

The repops weren't out at the time I owned it. Marks car looks awesome with them on it. I know at that time a mint set was 10-12k! </div></div>

If you are the caretaker of the car, you can do whatever you want to the car. As perfect as that car was, the changes the caretaker makes is for the enjoyment of the caretaker. I like the car either way.

Its all good, not looking for attention, just loving the hobby and having fun sharing. All opinions are welcome and supported, its what its all about. As for taking Headers off, they just make to much heat and noise for me, this car is a "drive once in a while car" and I want to keep it as clean and nice as possible, and headers just bake it a bit to much for me. As for track, no way, I had the stock exhaust ported to give it a bit better flow with the dual 4v, if I want to go fast I will take the PRO Street GN out for a drive....however I am getting to the age where I don't really like going fast anymore. This is my version of an "Executive Day 2". Thank you for the input and comments, it keeps things fun and gives us all something to chat about, I am never offended by different opinions, as long as we respect each other and keep in fun. Also, remember, everything is in storage and this car can be returned to completely stock at any time : )
