Wow, a 4 seater C2 would have been amazing!
I honestly wish they would have made the Corvette with an optional 4 seats, kind of like what they did with the 911 and the Panamera. That would have opened up an entire new market.

Corvette
I heard they considered a 4 seat 63. Some big wig with GM sat in the back and upon an attempted exit could not get out. It might have been Bill Mitchell. The plan got scrapped.
That image posted Might be an artist impression or the mock up that was considered. The car has some proportional changes for two rear seats. At best it would have only accommodated kids under 10 years old.

----The "2nd" time I saw this Motorama Corvette was in the for-sale field at fall Carlisle back in the later 70's. It was unrestored and needed everything. My great friend Bob Gold (RIP) ended up with it and did a wonderful full resto on it. It has changed hands enough that I'm not sure who has it now.
----The reason I said the 2nd time is that in 1965 I saw this very car in Harley Earl's driveway in Palm Beach Fl. I was driving down A1A in a rented 65 Mustang convert with my then girlfriend and Harley's house was one of the few on the water side of A1A. There in the circular drive two Corvettes sat. Along with this Vette was a pearl pink coupe that Harley had built for his wife. A rather large lawn guy made it painfully clear that I wasn't allowed on the property so I stood on the other side of the road and drewled for about ten minutes and then slunk away. ----I know that the Pink 63 was also found, but I have no idea where it is today..….Bill S |
