The Front seat covers (Mainly the Drivers side) seemed to be losing their form and I thought the seat foams had deteriorated over the years causing the seats to not have that defined look.......So, I thought I would get new seat foams and put them in the original covers and see how they turned out.......But......It turned out that the covers were out of shape and loose on the foams......So.....Ordered new covers......Now.....Just so you guy's know I'm "Serious" about this "Numbers Matching" stuff......Look what the seat guy found inside the seat...LOL
![]() ![]() ![]() Look at the condition of the original seat frames... ![]() ![]() More "Numbers Guy" Stuff ![]() ![]() Seats back in........... ![]() Time for a "Nap" Ken

I love this car! It's cool that one of the broadcast slips was discovered. Looks like that seat was originally destined for a Red powerglide SS but ended up in your car instead. Keep looking, you may find one with your numbers

I hope you went with ACC cushions.
There one of the best your money can buy,and worth every expensive cent. So many skimp on the cushions, and splurge on the covers only to soon realize later on the unsightly & uncomfortable mistake they made and pay their interior guy a second time.. |

ACC only sells to retailers, not the general public.
You have to buy them from their distributors that carry them like Ground Up or Natl. Parts Depot etc.. The best seat cushion your money can buy in my mind. They may too expensive for some, but you won't be disappointed with inconsistant pillowing or bagginess like a knock off brand. http://www.americancushionind.net/ ![]() |

I was putting the cars away for the Winter (West coast guy's......That's when it gets cold and Snows) and looking at all the scratches in the paint under the lights......and....since I have no projects at home.....I decided to do the unthinkable and wet sand and buff the paint......Just using 1500 grit wet sanding and buffing....It's amazing what was hiding just under that scratched up outer paint surface.....I will post some pic's when I finish it and get it outside....taking my time (I have all Winter) and doing one section at a time....I trial buffed a small area and now see why Lacquer was the paint of choice for many years.........
