This Curious Yellow 71 Cuda convertible is 1 of 17 built and was sold new in Shaker Heights OH to Ed Suit. As you can see by looking at the fender tag the Billboards, Shaker hood, Go Wing and Rallyes were all added to the car when it was restored. This Tor Red 71 Cuda convertible is 1 of 17 built and was an export car when new. As you can see by looking at the fender tag the Billboards and Shaker hood were added to the car and don't match the patina of the rest of the car. This car is documented with a build sheet. It was bid to $325K.

This Rallye Red 71 Cuda convertible is 1 of 17 built and has a column shifted TorqueFlite with 4.10 gears. This is an original drivetrain car that once belonged to Steve Juliano. This car was just on display and didn't run through the auction. It sold for $1.05M at Mecum Indy in '19 and for $875K at Mecum Kissimmee in '21.

This Rallye Red 71 Hemi Cuda is a 4 speed car with 4.10 gears. As you can see by looking at the fender tag this car didn't come with Billboards either. Very few 71 Cuda's came from the factory with Billboards, but a lot of cars have had them added when they were restored. This car was bid to $400K.

Ditto on the thanks!!

Knowing nothing at all about Mopars, seeing all those different fender tag attachments I just have to ask, which is correct -

- Neither screw painted body color, both screws black
- Neither screw painted body color, both screws plated
- Both painted body color
- One painted body color and one black (and if so which side is painted and which is black)?
- One painted body color and one plated (and if so which side is painted and which is plated)?

I think there is at least one of every scenario in those pics!!

Depends on whether it was a two tag car or not. Typically the screw closest to the front of the car should have paint as its first tag was attached during paint and the corner often bent up awaiting paint underneath and the second tag, further out the line. That second tag would often be attached with a paintless screw.

But nothing is consistent with Mopars - nothing.
