Remember that it wasn't just kids that bought muscle cars. A lot of successful middle aged guys bought them back then. Although most were tamer like GTO autos, 442s with auto and air etc. This was a pretty pricy piece back then. No long haired hippie kid bought this one. And the dude liked red!
Speaking about Les. Should the powers that be decide that you would like Les to come to the reunion, I'd be glad to ask him. He only has 6 boss 429s, and almost that many E body hemi's. Not much of a GM guy, but a very nice guy.Bob, you'd like him. He makes guns that can take you out at 1000 plus yards.

[/ QUOTE ]

Sure, but he has to bring some thing neat, such as a Boss 429 or Hemi Mopar, and race of course.

Did you say 1000 yards? On second thought, he does not have to race.

I was just up on the other site an read Greg Carlson comments about Tom's funny car. As usual Greg you have it WRONG
again!!!! Nobody at the Gibb reunion told you the pic's were of it "red & black" and nobody told you the pic's were going to be hidden away period!!!! Enclosed is the pictures. I took a picture of them my self.By the way GROW UP AND STOP THE NAME CALLING.

[/ QUOTE ]

Dang it Kim, those were supposed to be top secret.

BTW Greg, I too saw the pictures and the date(s) is Feb. 1969, not Feb. 1968 as you claim. Not bad for you though, only a year off. Of course, kind of blows your theory all to h-ll. Sorry!

Les was at the top of the hill with the 5 O mustang shootout a few years ago. He had as much back door stuff as Roush, or Yates. Gave it up after a friend of his got killed racing. He was a consistent bracket winner at Cordova, and other tracks before that. You don't want to run Les
He worked for Springfield armory, then went on his own.
Sells very high quality fire arms world wide.
Les Baer custom fire arms, Joslin Il.
I'll see if he's busy over labor day.

Don't you guys feel like you are talking to the toilet bowl ? Quit it already...Peace bruthas...Kim...if you feel like you have to go to the toilet...just use the one in your house instead of going there unless you want to buy a keychain or sticker for your purple car of course!
Any more references to the toilet will be deleted.

Don't mess with old farts - age and treachery will always overcome youth and skill! Bullshit and brilliance only come with age and experience.

Just as an aside to the story of the green Camaro, it was sold new at Glockner Chevy in Portsmouth, OH.
Know for high proformance cars, they also sold 10 COPO cars.
I too would like to praise Mark for making a sad story have a happy ending.
Virtue is it's own reward.
