Why did you not press out your u-joints yet? I thought you had the use of a press? Duct tape your Spindle`s well before taking them to blaster.
Looking good.....a very nice pile of parts Dan

I just learned how to remove the U-joints, there are tiny holes on the sides of each yoke beside each cap with small blue plastic "pins" that need to be melted out. I have only seen u-joints with circlips'
Olds guys say I need to melt these out while being careful not to get the molten splatter on myself or others, and that the replacements will somehow use circlips..... I have to see it to really understand it. I hope to do that this Saturday. I had really slowed myself down trying to get every part powdercoated in one shot, so I narrowed my focus (leaving some items like alternator beaker, and pulleys for a future batch) and now have the pictures for the powdercoated so he can quote. (Got stuck) Ryan

PS: the powder coater said to let them mast the parts with high heat tape, so I will use a grease marker to highlight all the areas needing to be preserved such as the spindles, and the bushing area on control arms, etc.
I think you are meaning before sandblast and that makes sense we didn't talk about that. Point dully noted:-) Ryan

I am moving again, kind of got overwhelmed for a week or so:-(
My brain is now on track, and focused on these parts, and the engine parts, and front clip parts can be round two. (I don't want to take everything apart at one time) Amateur here!!! Darrell: Yes 60 degree gloss black for most of the items, and a grey/cast/raw steel colour for the parts that were not painted before assembly. I am interested in a correct look that will look the same in five years with minimal polishing, and recoating, etc. Ryan

The places I have visited can powder coat any colour under the sun but you have to pay for each colour:-)
I am limiting my resto Powdercoating to 2 colours based on cost, I originally thought of doing an all black chassis resto but have seen the light:-) Ryan
