^ at 1st glance the sedan driving in the street looked like a 68-72 Nova, then I wondered why there were so many bugs, saw the signs and realized that must be an Opel (?)

[/ QUOTE ]

I thought it looked like a 67 - 70 Ford Cortina Mk2 , parked at the side of the street next to it is their version of a Chevy Nova - an Opel Diplomat which had a 283 Chevy motor .

I thought it was a Nova too, but couldn't find any pics of Brazilian Novas for comparison

The parked car beside the Cortina looks more like a Dodge Dart than an Opel.

that IS a Dodge Dart

that plus the Willys Jeep wagon is why the car in the street looked like a Nova at 1st glance

The Rexall Drug King in Hollywood reminds me of an interesting story. I was working in flight test at Edwards AFB in 1992, and had a guy doing some programming for me whose mother-in-law lived in the apartments above that drug store until she was in her 90's and couldn't care for herself any more. Jack hated her, apparently she was a crass old witch, at least that was his side of it. Well his wife insisted "Mom" move in with them, and as time went on she could care for herself less and less, to the extent that Jack, and again he absolutely hated her, was tasked with lifting her on and off the can, and in and out of bed because his wife did not have the strength. None of the in-home care people lasted very long, so there must have been some validity to his opinion of her. Anyhow, Jack was diagnosed with cancer while this was going on, and died in only a couple weeks. Some guys will do anything to get out dealing with the mother-in-law!

Are you kidding? It's friggin' HUGE!
4448 × 3472 pixels, and 6.07 MB? Link would've worked better...

Or you could have used the smaller pic.
